Bookstore played their "last" show tonight at TISWAS at Don Hill's in Manhattan. The club is nice, and the sound is good, but it was $10 that I paid to see ONE BAND! I mean, granted, I could have stayed to see the other band play, but it didn't turn out that way. Bookstore played a fine set, and sounded fucking great. It was nice to be able to hear them in an almost "professional" setting (I know the DIY kids are gonna wet their pants over that one). It is awesome when a good band gets to play somewhere that allows you to hear them the way they should sound. I mean, I love basement shows, and small bars with crappy PA's...but this is different. It's a real venue. It's nice when your friends actually get to play a real venue.
